2021 February – April PROGRAMME

Following the success of our autumn Zoom meetings,
we are programming a further 3 during our winter
programme. Invitations containing the Zoom access
information will be sent out by email a few days before
each meeting.

Wednesday February 3rd, – 7.30pm

Phil Campbell will give a 25 minute illustrated talk on John Dalton, famous son of Eaglesfield and Cockermouth. This will not cover technical detail, it will be more of an overview of his life and work in both Cumberland and Manchester, based on pictures.

Wednesday March 3rd – 7.30pm

National Trust, Wordsworth House. Zoe Gilbert will talk about the plans for the House in 2021 and Gwen Irving will talk about Dorothy Wordsworth. This year is the 250th anniversary of Dorothy’s birth, (25th December
1771).

Wednesday April 14th – 7.30pm

The topic for this meeting has not yet been finalised. A bulletin advertising this will be sent out to members on email nearer the time.
